Nelson Canal - Residential
First passive high-rise building
The residential part of the rehabilitation of the site of the former Belle-Vue breweries.
To clear the main warehouse that will become the Meininger Hotel and return it to the city, we will demolish a row of 2-storey canal-front buildings trapping it.
A magnificent open space will then be recreated and this land will serve as the foundation for an elegant 14-unit high-rise building.
It is the first small residential high-rise building built based on a passive criterion, i.e. a consumption level of less than 15 kWh per m² per year (a typical house in Brussels consumes 300 kWh per m² per year!).
The apartments have an average size of 90 m², are very contemporary, with large corbelled terraces and will be a huge success since they will sell in less than 2 months.
